The
Much of our food is now purchased from local businesses, including breakfast pastries, focaccia, sushi, egg rolls, organic salad dressing, and grass-fed hamburgers and hot dogs.
This year we began our Universal Breakfast program, in which all BHS students are offered breakfast for free. Your student ID card is required to receive free breakfast.

Breakfast
Breakfast is served from
o Whole-wheat bagel, cream cheese, hard-boiled egg
o Breakfast burritos with toppings
o Focaccia and chicken apple sausage
o Scrambled eggs and turkey bacon
Fresh fruit, hot and cold cereal, yogurt, 100% fruit juice, and 1% and low-fat milk are available every day.
Lunch

Lunch is served from
o Organic salad bar
o World wraps (sushi, egg rolls, chicken guacamole wraps)
o Hearth oven (pizza, grass-fed beef burgers and hot dogs, veggie burgers)
o Yellow Jacket Shack (barbecued wings and sloppy Joes)
o Hot international specialties (American, Italian, Asian, or Mexican)
Sample hot entrees:
o BBQ chicken, potato salad, corn bread
o Lasagna, garlic bread, sautéed squash
o Chicken or cheese tamales, black beans, white and brown rice, broccoli
o Ginger beef with broccoli, stir-fried veggies, white and brown rice
All lunches are served with fresh fruit and a choice of non-fat or 1% low-fat milk.
Snack store
Healthy grab 'n' go snacks and beverages are available for purchase at the store inside the food court every school day,
o Freshly cooked soup or chili in a bread bowl
o Bagels and cream cheese
o Yogurt smoothies and yogurt-granola parfaits
o Clif Bars, Luna Bars, and ZBars
o Soy milk, Smart Water, and Knudsen Spritzers
Payment
Universal Breakfast: free for all BHS students with a student ID card (adults $3)
Lunch: $4.00 or $0.40 reduced (adults $4)-prepay and get 20 lunches for the price of 19 ($76)
About Your Student Meal Account
All students have a personal debit account that they can access with their student ID card. This is not a credit account-please remember to deposit money for meals regularly.
Send in any dollar amount to be credited to your personal meal account. Make checks payable to
Students may also use their account to purchase healthy snacks and beverages at the store inside the food court.
Reduced Lunch Program
Applications to receive free or reduced-price school meals are available from your school office or the BUSD website.
Households may complete and submit a family application at any time during the school year. Return the completed application form by mail or in person to BUSD Nutrition Services,
